How do I know this will be a good fit?

I’m aware every person may have different needs from their therapist, and not all therapists may be a good fit for you! This is why I am happy to do a FREE PHONE CONSULTATION prior to any appointments being set. This will give you the opportunity to find out more about me and my approach.

What do I need to bring to my first appointment?

If the therapy sessions are being billed through insurance, please be sure to bring your insurance card along with to the appointment. I will also send electronic consent and intake forms to you prior to our session to be filled out.

What insurances do you accept?

I accept a number of insurances, including those listed below. If your insurance is not listed, please contact me to find out if your insurance is billable. I do always recommend contacting your insurance company directly as well, as there are a number of different types of plans out there!

  • Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield

  • Children’s Community Health Plan

  • Exceedent

  • Medicaid

  • Network Health

  • Optum (United Healthcare)

  • WEA Trust

Can I choose not to bill through insurance?

Yes. Some clients may wish to do ‘Private Pay’ appointments instead of billing through their insurance. If you choose to bill through your insurance, and if I am in-network with that insurance, you have the benefit of paying the in-network rate of your particular insurance. However, when billing through insurance, please be aware that as the pay source, your insurance company will have access to any diagnoses or appointment dates.

Do the appointments occur in your office?

I offer both in-office and virtual appointments, at your convenience. Most insurances do now cover virtual visits.

How long do appointments last?

Most sessions are 40-45 minutes in length, and I typically start with once/weekly to twice/monthly appointments, but this may also vary depending on the availability and needs of the client.

Do you have after school, evening, or weekend hours available?

I do have after school or evening appointments, although because of the high-demand of these time slots, they may not currently be available. Please contact me to find out current availability.

I do not have weekend hours at this time.

What is your cancellation policy?

When possible, I ask that you give me 48-hours’ notice of any appointment cancellations. However, as I know ‘life happens,’ I do allow for one late-cancel (less than 48-hours’ notice) or no-show at no charge to you. If late-cancellations become a habit, please note you may be subject to up to a $50.00 cancellation fee, or there is a possibility of being discharged from services. I would rather not see this happen – so please just talk to me regarding the circumstances and I am sure we can work it out!
